“I wish to draw the- attention of motorists to the fact that petrol obtained under business licenses must not be used for holidays or private tours," said the Oil Fuel Controller (Mr. G. L. Laurenson), in a statement yesterday. “The Oil Fuel Emergency Regulations provide that petrol granted under license may be used only for the purpose for which the license was issued. “It is anticipated that motorists will observe the spirit of the regulations without the need for any drastic measures to secure their enforcement.
