Maungakaramea

Excitement prevailed at the public hall on Saturday, when the usual social evening was held, attracting quite a large crowd. The prize-win-ners in the 500 tourney were Mrs: F. O’Shea and Mr T. O’Shea. Monte Carlo waltz winners were Miss Lyle Telfer and Mr Gil Porter.

Misses Edna Smith and Fay Child and Mr Dick Deeming arranged the supper.

Among those present were:— Mesdames L. W. Smith, G. Child, T. Hannam, S. W. Crawford. Cowan, R. Attwood, Litt, sen., A. Telfer, S. Walker, G. Winnard, F. O’Shea, A. McKenzie and C. Child; Misses Edna Smith, Jean Crawford, Flora Clark, Enid Porter, Fay Child, Lyle Telfer, Peggy Crawford, Gulbransen, Norma Thomson, Moyra Cook, Jill Crawford, Beryl Cook, Alva Litt and Joyce Porter.
