Mr R. D. Maeklow, of the staff of the Whangarei Public Trust, has been appointed to the position of district manager of the Westport branch, and leaves on Friday next. Mr G. W. Selwyn Ronald Blake has been gazetted deputy-registrar of marriages, births and deaths for Whangaroa. Registrars of births and deaths of Maoris have been appointed as follows: Awarua: K. H. Fricker; Whangape, D. F. J. Melrose; Kaeo, S. H. Blake.
