Hokianga Maoris Give Stock For Patriotic Fund

The ■ outstanding feature of the Broadwood stock sale held on Thursday was the selling of 50 head of mixed cattle, donated entirely 'by the Maoris of Miti Miti, - Lower Waihou, Panguru and Motiti. ; The drive was organised by Mrs J. Cooper, of Panguru, and the sale realised £l6O.

i;his was a splendid effort on the part of these Maori people, as the districts mentioned are small areas and the full proceeds of the sale are to be donated to the x -Hokianga - patriotic fund. *

Mr Frank Dodds, of Broadwood, was responsible for the delivery of the cattle from Panguru to Broadwood, his effort being much appreciated.
