Walter Wakelin, Ltd., report having held sales in the district during the week, as follows: PARUA BAY, Monday.—A small yarding all changed hands at keen prices. Fat cows sold from £5 to £7 5/; stoifte cows, £3 15/ to £5; boner cows, to £3 10/; yearling S.H. steers, to £4; 2-year empty Shorthorn heifers, £4 to £4 12/6; coloured yearling steers, to £1 19/; yearling crossbred heifers, to £2 10/; 2-year Jersey bulls, to £5; boner bulls, to £6 11/.
WHAKAPARA, Tuesday. Dairy cows, £5 to £8; fat Jersey cows, £4 to £5 16/; cows and calves, £5 to £74/; store cows, £3B/ to £5; fouryear Jersey bullocks, to £8 8/; extra heavy boner bull, £l2 15/; light boner bulls, to £5; boner cows, £2 to £3 16/; yearling steers, £3 to £4 5/; two-year Shorthorn heifers, £3 to £4 10/; empty Jersey heifers, £3 10/ to £5.
KAMO, Wednesday.—We had an exceptionally heavy entry of fat and store pigs, which all changed hands at excellent prices. The yarding of cattle was also good and the demand keen.
Dairy Cattle: Best Jersey cows, £6 10/ to £9 5/; best Jersey heifers, £6 to £8; cows and heifers, in milk, £4 to £9; Shorthorn cows and heifers, £5 to £6 17/6.
