Egypt’s P.M. Dies When Reading King’s Speech
(Received 12 noon) LONDON, November 14,
The Prime Minister of Egypt (Hassan Sabry Pasha) collapsed and died while reading the Speech from the Throne. The President of the Senate continued reading the speech. King Farouk was deeply moved. Opening Parliament, King Farouk declared that Egypt executed her treaty with Britain with complete sincerity, both in the letter and in the spirit, and was vigilantly following the march of events.
She was jealous of her sovereignty and independence, and was striving to conserve her security and maintain her integrity.
