Small Fall In Reserve Bank Sterling

The Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, November 11, w,as gazetted last, night. The balancing total is £134,559 lower than on the previous Monday. The fall of £93,731 in the sterling exchange reserve is one of a series of small downward movements during recent weeks. Trading bank holdings, £424,712 lower, are now. £2,000,000 below the level at .the beginning of October. . Proportion of reserve to notes and other ‘ demand liabilities is 28.495 fit* cent., compared with 28.565 last week.
