1126 Second Ballot Appeals In Auckland

[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day.

A total ox 1126 appeals affecting 958 reservists drawn in the second territorial ballot has now been received by the Auckland Area Manpower Committee.

All" appeals must be lodged by tomorrow and it is expected that many more will be received. The committee hhs not yet arranged a programme of public sittings to hear the appeals, though a start will probably be made within a fortnight.
