Happy Meeting In Edinburgh
[Special to “Northern Advocate”] TAURANGA, This Day..
When Private Cameron Smith, of Tauranga, reached a suburban station in Edinburgh in July with the Second Echelon, he walked .over to a gate to look at some of the old familiar sights, he having been born in Scotland, and he saw his own father standing just on the other side of the gate. Private Smith’s father had no idea that he would see his son at this station.
Private Smith had only been in New Zealand for two years when he enlisted with the New Zealand forces.
