Time Bomb Explodes Near N.Z. House

(Received 1.30 p.m.). LONDON, September 12. A TIME BOMB EXPLODED IN THE STRAND AT 7.35 P.M. New Zealand House is one of a number of important buildings .evacuated owing to the discovery of unexploded bombs in their vicinity. A delayed action bomb lies outside St. Paul's Cathedral, and the area has been cleared. The bomb in the Strand in the vicinity of New Zealand House, was of large calibre. Premises damaged in raids in the past few days include Madame Tussaud’s waxworks, the “Daily Herald” and the “Evening Standard” offices. The damage to Madame TassaudY includes the waxworks, a cinema and a restaurant. The majority of tjie wax models were not damaged.
