Aliens Tribunal Sits Next Week

WELLINGTON. This Day

The Aliens Tribunal will begin its business in Wellington next week. Mr Justice Callan will preside, and the other two members are Colonel C. H. Weston. K.C.. of Wellington, and Mr J. H. Collins, ol' Wellington. The duty of the tribunal is to inquire into the bona tides of all enemy aliens and 1o advise the Minister of Justice which of them should be interned and what conditions should be imposed. There are more than 1500 enemy aliens in New Zealand, and it is expected that the tribunal, which will sit in various centres, will be occupied for some months.
