Red Cross Support For Emergency Hospital Scheme

There was a good attendance at the general meeting of the Whangarei branch of the Red Cross last night. Decision was made to bring the First Aid Chest up to St. John Ambulance standard. This was considered essential in these days of war.

The response to an appeal for tinfoil had been particularly gratifying and a large package had been collected locally for despatch to headquarters.

Fullest possible support will be given to the request to the local branch to supply bandages and equipment for the emergency hospital, which, in the event of an emergency, will be established at the Whangarei High School.
