Kaiwaka Girls Are Otamatea Basketball Champions

Saturday saw the conclusion of the Otamatea Basketball Association’s competitions, and for the sixth successive year the Kaiwaka girls have carried off the honours. For the past six years the Kaiwaka team has not been beaten, and it is doubtful whether there is any team in Northland that can eclipse this record. Following is the final position of the teams:—

P. W. D. L. Pts. Kaiwaka 10 10 - _ 20 Marohemo 10 7 1 2 15 Ararua 10 4 2 4 10 Paparoa — 10 4 1 5 9 Maungaturoto A 10 2 1 7 5 Maungaturpto B 10 - - 10 0
