Kawakawa Gives Freely For Soldiers

So far the Kawakaw.a Patriotic Committee has raised £305. This announcement was made at a well-attended dance in aid of the Sick and Wounded Appeal last night. Dr. G. J. Frengley, thanking the Aloha Rebekah Lodge and the Moerewa branch of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, joint promoters of the function, said that a further £2O would be added as a result.

The willing spirit in which the citizens of Kawakawa are giving was demonstrated by the fact that several boxes of cakes, left over from supper, were auctioned for almost £3.
