Supplies For Dairy Farms
The Govei'nment is to be urged to make every endeavour to enable dairy companies to get necessary supplies, particularly for the dairy farmer. This decision was reached by the Northland Dairy Association at the annual conference yesterday. In taking the motion, Mr R. J. Partoon explained that the Whangaroa company had experienced endless difficulty in securing various supplies for its members. The economy of the country prior to the war had left it short of necessary farm supplies. The chairman (Mr A. Morton) said that, although delay had occurred in procuring supplies from overseas, stocks were now available. The Director of the Dairy Division (Mr Singleton) wrote stating that the Government was doing everything possible to see that dairy factory supplies and dairy machinery were being made available to the industry.
