Burglars Remove Albany P.O. Safe
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day. Burglars last night removed the safe from the Albany post office, took it two miles away and blew it open with gelignite. The thieves got about £6O in cash and postal notes valued at about £IOO. This office was visited by burglars in August, 1938, when the safe was blown open and £SO in notes and silver and stamps stolen.
