Bay Hospital Board Meeting

At the monthly meeting of the Bay Hospital Board the following were present: Messrs H. T. Atkinson (chairman), T. Hedley, A. H. Morgan, T. J. V. Dunlop, H. M. Cookson, S. W. Smith, G. H. McKenzie and F. T. Goodhew. It w.as decided to accept the tender of the Whangarei Engineering Company for the installation of a hydroextractor and a steam air heater for laundry improvements. The secretary was instructed to investigate the matter of an adequate hot water supply for the Nurses’ Home and to give his report at the next meeting. A new X-ray improvement soon to be purchased is ,a casette, 14 x 17, with a developing tank and other necessary equipment. j Tenders are to be called for capital estimates regarding the proposed residence to be erected. The secretary was instructed to import a suitable motor for the electric lighting emergency plant as the 8.1.E.P. consulting engineer had been unable to obtain a second-hand one.
