Lutheran Church Burned In Victoria

MELBOURNE, This Day. A report received from the country district of Hopetown states that a Lutheran Church there was burned down on Friday night. The building was insured for £650. The last German service conducted in the church was held a week ago. Many descendants of Germans reside in the district. An attempt also to burn down the Lutheran church at Temora, southern New South Wales, was made overnight. The fire was discovered before much damage had been done. The police found traces of kerosene on all parts of the floor and on the pews.
