Over 2,000,000 Britons Now Called to Colours
LONDON, May 25. Between 200,000 and 300,000 men of the 1913 class (up to age 27) registered for military service today, making the total enrolled under the National Service Military Training Act well over 2,000,000. Registrations today totalled 326,259, a record for a single day. There were 3439 conscientious objectors. The percentage registered as conscientious objectors was 1.05, a further decrease.
