Twelve Northland Recruits During Week-end

Maintaining the high percentage of enlistments in Northland during the past week, the contribution during the weekend reached 12. of which 11 were Europeans and one Maori. Country districts were again to the fore and covered a wide area. European recruits were:— Whangarei.—L. F. Tucker, H. H. Gibbons, W. G. Buckley, L. S. Deeming (Maungakaramea). Dargaville.—G. E. Davenport (Ruawai), P. N. Robinson (Maropiu), H. S. Wallace. Kaikohe. —K. N. McKenzie (Moerewa), H. Doel (Moerewa), P. C. Newton. Wellsford.—B. Galloway. The Maori recruit was N. Wairori (Panguru).
