Mother’s Day At Presbyterian Church
The Whangarei Presbyterian Church was tastefully decorated with white flowers yesterday when special Mother’s Day services were held. In large floral letters behind the pulpit the words “Mother,” “Home,” “Father” told their own message. At tire morning service Rev. Elliott preached a special sermon containing a Mother’s Day message. At the evening service, .a parade of the nursing staff of the Whangarei Hospital attended to mark the anniversary of. the birth of Florence Nightingale. A feature of the services was that families sat together, adults side by side with children. All wore white flowers.
