Patience Ended, De Valera Warns Terrorists
LONDON. May 9. The Prime Minister of Eire (Mr de Valera), in a broadcast speech, warned “murderers and terrorists that the Government’s patience was ended.” He said: “If the present law is not sufficient, it will be strengthened. “If that-does not suffice, we will invoke the ultimate lav/—‘the people’s safety.’ ” Mr de Valera said that if violence continued, civil war would be the result.
