It'er Press Association Copyright .] WELLINGTON, This Day. The following telgram has been sent by the Prime Minister (Mr Fraser), to Mr C. R. Attlee, Leader of the Opposition in the House of Commons: “I desire on behalf of the New Zealand Government to express deep regret at the deatn of Mr George n,anscury. His devotion to principles he believed in throughout nis long life, and his energetic and distinguished services as a journalist, legislator and minister, won mm a foremost place in the esteem in the people of the British Commonwealth of Nations. "His consistent and sincere work for the cause of peace during many years was gratefully recognised and highly appreciated throughout the world. "We sincerely sympathise with the British Labour Party in the great loss, ano would like you kindly to convey to the relatives our heartfelt sympathy in their sad bereavement.”
