Man Marooned in Tree.
An unusual call was received by the Wangariui Fire Brigade when it was summoned about sunset to assist a man who was marooned in a tree on St. John’s Hill. The man went Up to gather cones and dislocated his shoulder. As he was in danger of losing his grip. and falling, a policeman climbed the tree • and supported him till'.' a fire-engine arrived and • a ladder was run up. - By tying a rope round the man and lowering the ladder, he /was to the ground with little; difficulty. ~ '
