Allies Not Tied To Side-Show in Norway
(Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Addressing the New South Wales Institute of Journalists yesterday, the Officer Commanding the Australian Forces (General Sir Thomas Blarney) said that the Allies apparantly did not intend to get tied up in a side show in Norway. “To win the war Germany must defeat Britain and France in the West, and she cannot do that while the Maginot Line and the North Sea lie between her and the Allies.” Such of thfi cable news In this Issue as (s so headed has appeared in “The Times” and is sent to this paper by special permission.
