Britain’s Food Supplies
Lord Woolton, speaking at Liverpool, said it was his chief aim, as Minister of Food, to secure for the tourists not only enough food, but food at prices which they could afford. He was, to the best of his ability, preserving the very ample stock, so that whatever happened to ships or lines of communication, people in Britain will still be able to be fed adequately.
