WELLINGTON, This Day, The repatriation of members of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force was discussed by delegates to the annual conference of the Returned Soldiers' Association. It was agreed that the Government should be asked to allow returned soldiers to assist in repatriation work. A committee pressed the following points ns being essential in the framing of any legislation or regulations governing the matter: —Free educational and vocational training; a comprehensive scheme of land settlement; preference to ex-soldiers in employment, particularly those who dre partly disabled, who, for reasons beyond their control, are unable to resume their pre-war occupations. A decision to give £2OO to the National Patriotic Fund Board for the rehabilitaton of men of the new army was made by the conference.
