Comedian Formb’s War Fund

.Comedian George Formby has organised a new war relief work, the Formby Florin. Fund, in England. George wants to raise one hundred thousand florins for the dependents of those trawler men who are lost ,at sea. A part of this money he himself will obtain by giving a series of star concerts. The rest will be made up by public subscription. Formby's first such concert, to be held at Blackpool, will, he hopes, account for live thousand florins.„ • Concerts For Troops. In addition to this personal effort, Formby is continuing with concerts for the troops. He has cancelled all his stage engagements which were to follow his present Leeds pantomime season. This generous gesture will leave the comedian free until August for B.E.F. entertainments both in England and in France.
