Farm Labourer Baronet To Marry Domestic

Ivy Frier, a young domestic living at Newington, Kent, is to marry farm labourer baronet. Sir John William Fagge, 29. Fagge inherited the title from his uncle, the tenth baronet, Sir John Harry Lee Fagge, who died in the United States last month. There is no money attached to the title. The late baronet worked in America as a vanman .and gardener. His heir has worked as a farm labourer ever since he left school and has never earned more than £2 a week. The new baronet said: “I’ll have to carry on as a farm worker, since the title brings no money with it. “It won’t matter to me whether my workmates call me sir or not.” His bride-elect said: “I don’t suppose it will make the slightest difference in our lives, but we will use the title. “We have been courting for four years, but I never suspected that some day I would he Lady Fagge.” The baronetcy was conferred by King Charles 11. in 1660 for services during the Restoration.
