News From Lilian

* c'o R. A. Drake. Apenga, Pipiw.ai R.D. Bear Rangatira, How are you after your holiday? It is a pity we all couldn’t have a holiday and get suntanned as well isn’t it, but the days are still full of work and there isn’t much time left for very much pleasure. Are Princess and the S.P. still holiday-making? The S.P. needs to watch out and see he has some stones left for next time. On Easter Saturday I found a hen with, eight fluffy little white chickens, but today there were only seven with the hen and I could not find the eighth one anywhere. We also have come pigs, which are just at the stage of being a nuisance, and eating the feed we give the fowls. On Tuesday. April 16. the people of the district gave a farewell dance, in the ball, to three boys, who have worked in the district for many years. George Graham, Lester Clark and Stan Fraser. We had a most enjoyable evening, and after supper the presentations were given. Lester and Stan received watches, while George was given a sleeping-bag and a cheque. Have you heard from Kiwi since the Centennial Holiday? It was most certainly the best holiday I have ever had, and I also think is the best I’ll have for many years to come. I will most certainly remember it throughout my lifetime. Well, Kupe. as I have no more news, and it is well nigh bedtime I will say cheerio for now. Hoping you are . quite well as it leaves all of us here, and as far as I know Ellen and Albert and the twins. I remain,* A Young Northlander, LILIAN DRAKE.
