Kerikeri Aerodrome Under P.W. Control The Kerikeri aerodrome is now under the control and maintenance of the Public Works, Department. Information to this effect was received at the monthly meeting of the Bay County Council. A letter from the Public Works Department stated that the outbreak of hostilities overseas had had a marked effect on the development of air transport and the previous progress that had been made with civil aviation in New Zealand. While the majority of aerodromes would remain open for civil and military purposes it had been found expedient to close some of the lesser fields for the duration. Kerikeri was one of those considered necessary and the department would be responsible for the control and maintenance of the field until the cessation of hostilities overseas. USED CARS FOR SALE.
