Hikurangi Rink Wins Mixed Bowls Tourney
Lady players “rolled ’em up” on the Whangarei Croquet Club's greens at the weekend, when the second annual mixed bowling tournament was held. Visitors from Hikurangi were particularly adept at keeping in close touch with kitty, so much so that the opinion was expressed that they had been getting in some practice. Eight teams participated, victory going to the Hikui’angi rink (Mr and Mrs Robertson and Mr and Mrs McNay. Prizes were presented by the croquet club president (Mrs J. Walker),
