AUCKLAND, This Day. In ,an exciting match which terminated on the last green, Miss A. Grove and Miss E. Schnauer, both of the Maungakiekie Club, defeated Mrs G. F. Ferguson and Mrs J. M. Wilso/i, of Auckland, in the final of the New Zealand ladies’ autumn golf foursomes competition yesterday afternoon.

Prices.—A new French decree prohibits a rise in prices after May 1. The move is intended to check the rising food prices and to stabilise other living costs.
