Oil-boring On East Coast
fPe?’ Press Association. Copyright! GISBORNE, This Day. A bulletin issued by the New Zealand Petroleum Co.. Ltd., states that drilling at Morere No. 1 well has reached a depth of 1500 feet. The formation penetrated is hard shale, but the hole is showing no deviation from the vertical. During the past week 255 feet has been bored, this rate comparing favourably with the best rate of progress made at Totangi.
