Ship’s Boy Wins His Spurs
LONDON, February 22. Boy A. M. Dorset, aged 17i, of H.M.S. Achilles, who received the Distinguished Service Medal for his part in the Graf Spec, action, is probably among the youngest recipients of that honour. His conduct during the action showed the highest degree of courage. Early in the action, shell splinters killed three men and wounded two others who were in the gundirecting compartment with him. In spite of all the carnage around him, he passed all available information to. the guns and repeated reports clearly for the gunnery officers.
