Whangarei W.D.F.U. Meets
There was a well-attended meeting of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union in the Friendly Societies’ Hall last week. Mrs Snell presided. A donation was received from a card evening held in Tikipunga recently. The response was particularly good. A report of the branch’s activities so far as hospital work is concerned was received. A report was also received on the dressmaking class which has only just commenced its activities for the new year. A novelty day was held and members are highly pleased with their work which netted splendid returns for the community chest. At the conclusion afternoon tea was served by members,
