’ The Whangarei Amateur Athletic Club continued its series of weekly points meetings in the High School grounds last evening. Highlight of the evening was another great mile run by Claude Philpott, who, running from scratch, justgot up in time to take first place in a fast race. A special message from Auckland states that large fields will contest the Auckland Provincial Amateur Athletic Championship at Carlaw Park on Saturday.
