Whangarei Club Birds Encounter Good Weather

The third young t»ira race conduct- ] cd by the Whangarei Homing Pigeon! Club' this season was flown from] Papakura, and for the first time the ] birds struck good weather and were I able to register fair velocity. ! The first three birds to get home ■ were: H. Parkin’s Worthy Girl, 1005 yards per minute, 1; D. Millington’s Blue Skye, 1004 yards per minute, 2; J. Hosking’s Love Bug, 1003 yards per minute, 3. Next week two races will be flown, one from Mercer and an interval race from Auckland, the latter being for the president’s trophy.
