Percy Erceg—Thank you for the letter and all the news, Percy. How did the shows go? Have any luck? Norma Carter—Ever so many thanks for the gift to the S.P.—even if we are a little late in acknowledging it, Enid McLean —How did you like the badge, Enid? It arrived, safclv, didn't it? Frank Underwood—Glad Tapuhi followers arrived in plenty of time for the train, Frank. I believe the floods caused you all a lot of worry on the morning we left. Mabel Courtney—The trip's over now and you’ll know whether the big effort of Kara was worth while. I think it was, don't you? Patricia Holster—Bad luck you weren't old enough to accompany us on the big adventure, Patricia. Never mind though, there’ll be other things for you to join in by and bye. Harriet Ujdur—Looks as though the sweet pea s club at school has given you a liking for gardening, Harriet. Hope so, anyway. Tim Pou—l'm quite looking forward to hearing all about your trip to Wanganui, Tim. Must: have been a great adventure. Mary Kirkby—Sorry at the delay in sending your book. We’ve been* so busy, though, with the Centennial Holiday, that the delay just couldn’t be helped. Betty Pyle—The S.P. is making fine progress. Scampers all over the place these days and plays hide and seek with me. Cheerio to you. Lois Christie—Here’s an answer to your letter of December 8. Bit late, but we can’t mind that. Hope the trip came up to expectations. Lsme Rowley—Can imagine how excited you were, Esme. Bad luck that your friend had “too many cows ” Thelma Mcßeth—Thanks for the report of the Hapu meeting. You'll have to get busy thinking up some other good cause to work for, won't you? Jean Erceg—Our turn to apologise, Jean; but this is the first mailbag I've done for goodness knows how long.
