Walter Wakelin reports a brisk sale at Maungatapere yesterday, when a good entry met with a brisk sale. Well-grown in-calf Jersey heifers sold from £4 to £5 10/; Jersey heifer calves, £2 3/ to £2 12/6; springing cows, to £7 10/; springing Jersey heifers, £5 10/ to £5 17/6; small springing heifers, £3 2/6; empty crossbred heifers, £3 15/; backward springing cows, £4 10/; cull lambs, 9/7 to 10/6; porkers, to £2 12/.
