Brother Gives Life For Sister

r Per Press Association. Copyright l WELLINGTON, This Day. Getting into difficulties when he went to his sister’s .aid, a Wellington man was drowned in the Halt River at Maori Bank on Saturday. The victim was Mr James Gordon Holder, of 16, Kilminster Avenue, Wellington. Mr Holder and his sister. Miss Miriam Holder, aged 17, and two other young people, were attending a picnic. When bathing, Miss Holder stepped into a deep hole, and her brother went to her assistance, and got into difficulties himself. One of the other two rescued the girl, but Mr Holder, who was apparently a poor swimmer, was drowned.
