The Governor-General Viscount Galway has approved the appointment of Captain H. M, Barnes, R.N., of H.M.S. Philomel, to be Honorary Naval Aide-de-Camp on His Excellency’s staff -in continuation of his present appointment. Information from Suva, Fiji, states that, the death occurred, on February 8, of Mr R. B. S. Watson, owner of Wakaya Island. Mr Watson, who was about 51 years old, had numerous business interests in New Zealand, and before coming to Fiji to reside permanently engaged extensively in deep-sea fishing. At Whangaroa, Northland, he established a fishing camp.
