[Special to “Northern Advocate”} AUCKLAND, This Day. A net profit of £17,366, against a loss of £34,384 in the previous period, is announced by Mac Duffs, Ltd., chain store proprietors, for 1939. The profit has reduced the debit balance to £17,018, which is being carried forward. It is proposed to ask the deferred creditors to accept a further payment of 7/6 in the pound, and to grant a period of twelve months within which the balance owing to them is paid.
