[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day. The Auckland provincial tennis tournament, delayed from the end or last month by unfavourable weather, is being concluded today. The appearance of the Australian champions, J. Bromwich and J. H. Crawford, attracted a large attendance. Results: Women’s singles, final. —Miss M. Beverley (Waikato) beat Mrs. Morse (Auckland). 6—2, 6—3. Junior girls’ singles, semi-final. — Miss M. Hodges beat Miss J. Dryland, 6—2. 6—2. Intermediate men’s singles, semifinal. —A. S. Burns beat J. B. Smith, 6 7—5. Intermediate men’s .doubles, semifinal.—A. S. Burns and B. Brown beat J. B. and P. Smith, 6—4, 6 —4, Intermediate girls’ doubles, semifinal.—Miss W. Smith beat Miss B. Potter, 6—2, 6—3. Intermediate mixed doubles, semifinal.—J. H. Moller and Miss Potter beat J. B. Smith and Miss W. Smith, 7 6—l.
