Burnham Soldier Drowned
[Per Press Association. Copyright.'! CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A soldier from the Burnham Camp lost his life in the Selwyn yesterday afternoon. The victim was Allan Roy Harrington. 27, single, a member of the Army Service Corps. The unit was exercising at Williams’ Ford. During a break in training, the men were swimming in the river, when Harrington collapsed. Every effort was made to save him, but the body was lost, and not recovered until 7 p.m.
