1.0.0. F. Picnic At Parahaki
Fine weather favoured the combined picnic held by the Star of Whangarei Lodge and Aloha Rebekah Lodge, of the 1.0.0. F. Order. A large number assembled at the beautiful grounds of Mr A. C. Clapham’s Parahaki property. For the boiling’ of the billy, Mr Clapharn lent his kerosene stove. Races, games and tennis occupied most of the day. A cricket match ended in the “Impossibles” beating the “Might Have Beens” by a single run. Athletic events resulted.— Relay races. —Mixed, 12 to 15 years: Pat Farmer and Ron Lawrence 1.
