Kawakawa Fire Brigade Dance
KAWAKAWA, This Day. There was a good gathering of dancers at the ninth annual Fire Brigade Ball held at Kawakawa on Friday night. Music was supplied by Davison’s Orchestra. During the evening novelty.dances were conducted, the winners being Mr E. Povey’ and Miss I. Cookson (Monte Carlo), Mr N. Morris and Miss C. Fraser (spot waltz). A tap dance was performed by Mr Norman Fraser, and an acrobaticdance by Miss P. Fraser. • Noticed among those present were: Mesdames G. McGlashan, gold taffeta; N. Walker, cyclamen taffeta; Reyland, floral moire taffeta; Mar ton, emerald crepe suede; D. Thomas, green and silver crepe i marocain; G. Mclntyre, emerald green taffeta with cyclamen spray; W. Watson, black net with silver trimmings; Z. F. Jack, black velvet; R. Carroll, taffeta and cerise; I. Morey, blue net; J, L. Rayner, polka spotted georgette; A. Goodhue, green tulle with skirt of sequins; F. Hansford, blue satin with gold trimmings; Cohite, black panne velvet. Misses V. Fussell, white organdie; L. Dodd, blue taffeta; L.
