Mr J. Smith, of the post office, has commenced his annual leave of two weeks, which he intends spending at his home in Eltham. i Cr. A. A. Potter was appointed by the town board as its representative! on the Hokianga Patriotic Committee. Mr G. W. Browne, of Umawera, has j taken up a position on the telephone! exchange at the post office. Messrs Jos. and R. Pell, who have been spending a vacation at Warkworth, returned home last Wednesday evening.
