Contraband Control Statistics

LONDON. February 7. There were 30 neutral ships in the British Contraband Control bases on February 6. Of these. 21 had been there five days or less. In the week ended February 3 the Contraband Committee considered the cargo of 114 ships, which had arrived since January 28. and 22 from the previous week. The entire cargoes were released in 90 cases. Sixty-three cases were dealt with under the system of supplying advance copies of manifests, and in 52 of these cases the vessels were released, subject to formal checking of the original manifests.
