Miss W. McKenzie, after spending a holiday with her parents, Mr and Mrs J. M. McKenzie, of Jordan Road, returned to Auckland during the weekend. Mr and Mrs J. Huggup, of King Street, are spending a fortnight camping at Whangaruru. The Methodist Ladies’ Guild assembled at the home of the president (Mrs Lloyd) during the week to make a presentation to Mrs McNay, who is leaving the district. Mrs McNay was a tireless church worker and was held m very high esteem by all. Miss Mamie Carter, after competing with some success in the girls’ junior singles championship matches held in Auckland recently, has returned home.
